Evan and Vanessa were waiting in the lobby for their Groundlings audition, when Evan saw a pretty lady (Vanessa) and popped a Listerine strip in his mouth. Mint can, on occassion, make the rugged Texan sneeze. Today was one such occassion. He sneezed just as Vanessa finished sloppily spelling her name on the sign in sheet. She looked over at the guy in the leather jacket and said, "Bless you." They were in the same audition room and really enjoyed each other's humor. Vanessa promptly left the room after their audition. Evan tried to catch up, but the rush of people leaving their audition rooms slowed him down. By the time he'd reached the street, she was gone. But a voice told him to, "Wait." So he did. While making awkward chit chat with a fellow auditionee, he saw Vanessa turn the corner. (She'd forgotten where she parked.) Seizing the second chance, Evan grabbed her arm and said, "You're funny!" She smiled and said he was funny too. They became Facebook friends and the rest was history.

Evan and Vanessa are starting their marriage relaxing and sight-seeing in Antigua and Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. They will also be spending three days volunteering with Long Way Home in the village, San Juan Comalapa. This mission builds schools out of recycled materials. Check out some of the awesome work they do: www.lwhome.org.
