I met Travis at a barbeque towards the end of May 2005. I reluctantly attended a gathering with people I didn't know, and through the crowd spotted a handsome young man, drinking a forty. Somehow, that charmed me.

On April 14th, Travis and I went to San Francisco and visited our favorite place, the Japanese Tea Gardens. When we were walking across a creek on some stones, (I of course, making silly noises doing so) Travis behind me says "Hey, what's this??" So I turned around and he was down on one knee acting like he was picking something out of the creek. It was so romantic! I didn't believe him at first. We had an audience too, people clapping and of course, I said yes!

The ceremony and reception will be at the Delta King on the Sacramento River on September 21st, 2008 at 3:30 PM.

The reception will be held in the Paddlewheel Room located inside the Delta King. There will be vegetarian dinner served following the ceremony. A Beer & Wine Bar will be provided to purchase alcoholic beverages. And of course, a cake followed by a tossing of the bouquet and garter along with music by Strut-A-Various (my father making a cameo I'm sure) and dancing.
