Shane proposed at one of their favorite places, Shaver Lake. It was their first trip together, and became one of their greatest memories they shared together. They went on day and night hikes, fished, swam in the lake, went jet skiing, kayaking, horseback riding, played pool and ping pong in the cabin, bonfires with the family, and enjoyed some ice cream on a swing in the village. 

Three and a half years later, Shane planned a trip with Priscilla to take their fur baby Caruso to the snow for his first time. Little did Priscilla know the real reason behind the trip. On their way to the snow, Shane took a detour and drove to the swing set where him and Priscilla sat on a hot day eating their ice cream on their first trip together in Shaver Lake. Shane read scripture from the bible, had a heart felt speech, and then popped the question. Priscilla had a fountain of happy tears falling down her cheek and of course accepted his proposal, hugged him for a long time, and cried a lot more! Caruso was laying there and was the only witness to the proposal, he knew Daddy's plan all along!
